Asmita bhandari /Mini Rara ( The heart of salyan) Whenever I feel suffocated down here,I feel a heaven there.The day when I was overwhelmed by a lots of day to day stuffs,mini rara acts as serotonin for me.The frustration, fear,stress all goes down together in a single swip at mini rara.The natural scenario of bird chirping, the slightly swifting of green trees, leaves and low drizzling blow of wind takes all my hectic hangover off. I feel relaxed and chill out there.
Ican’t utter its elegance in such a single words.only I can feel it.That blue sky formed with cute clouds seemed like giving a cute smile for me.That chirping birds trying awake the inner soul within their voice. and the natural view chasing me to play and lost within them.Apart from chaos,I m getting a next level of blaze there.
The day before mini rara trip was much hectic and boring too.There was plentiful advertisement of “kupinde daha “on salyan which was most familiar for picnic and recreational spot.So ,we barefaced for a tour to mini rara( kupinde daha).The roads were quite stiffy but we enjoyed the nature more backlefting the stiff.We close mates made a lots of fun and enjoyment on the way.The way, we are relishing on each other.we finally, reached to kupinde Lake.
After letting down from taxi,we felt a quiterelief ,just a peaceful environment out there.The scenario of the daha was just exorbitant .The boat sailing around the lake is really endearing one.One can’t easily wish to left that peace soon.That moment within the daha was just unbelievable and amazing.
kupinde ,totally covered by trees on all side is just a winsome and a subject of mystery for us.Kupinde Lake is one of the greatest lakes among Rapti zone.Around 24 km of west khalanga,lies kupinde village. Here, the sprawling kupinde Lake makes an awesome sight,Surrounded by perfect hills and green jungles,on all sides blue sky like kupinde lake spread across north to south is truly a gift of nature.The lake,which is situated in ward no.8 of “Banghad kupinde municipality”.It looks like a tiny phewa Lake of pokhara.so it’s also renowned to be as “mini rara” for its breathtaking beauty.It is also one of themajor tourist destinations of Nepal.
Mini rara has witnesses alots of changes as well as holds a unique story of its own.
Even the lake was bounded by dense jungle from all sides,The leaflets from trees tumble down onto the daha.After a while,all got mislaid.it was quite awestruck. No evidence of grasses or fallen leaves is found in lake.We got more nosy about that scene.Also there was the system of boating there.one can hire the boat costing nrs.500 to circulate around the lake.one can feel the mesmerising view of the lake from the boat.It takes nearly 45 to 60 minutes for boating the whole lake.We enjoyed that breathtaking beauty of that lake.
After a while ,we went towards the temple.The temple is giving a next level of peace and perception to me.The temple was tiny with subtle edifice.
I think there is no such place in the world where I feel closer to the Lord than in one of His holy temples. ..
we went inside the temple.There was the idol of God bhairav,there we took a kind of benison from God. Then ,shoot some pictures around there.The surroundings, there was quite peaceful and extrinsic. Everyone can forgot all his tacklish life and wish to rejoice there freely.
It has the icon of kalbhairav with many bells there.A lots of kupindo had been there.There used to live Baba there from a long time ago.He had good knowledge regarding the temple.The front circumstances gradually appeared in my thought.Then,I asked him about the mystery of temple.He was ready to narrate us the reasons behind that.
There was really a mystery behind this lake.According to the baba,many years back, There used to be a village on this place.one day,a man disguised to a saint entered this village in search of place to stay.But none was ready to help him.Saddened,he went and asked for a help at an old women’s hut.Eventhough, the old women had nothing to offer to the saint,she let him stay in her home.The next morning, saint said to the women that I am kailubaraha.I can destroy the selfish people in just a few seconds. You should walk upto the hills without turning back.After hearing this,the old women ran towards the hill.When she turned back,she saw her village turn into a lake and an ash gourd (kupindo) floating there.By this ,The kupinde daha is named after..In every way,its just mystic.This Lake is believed to change its colour in monsoon, winter and summer a year.
Also ,we can get a view of mountain ranges like chakhure and sisne from the lakes which has attracted alot of tourists including us. One can flush out its foggy mind there.The truth behind where the water in the lake comes from or goes to is still on mystery. The lake sometimes appeared to take the shape of ash gourd,map of nepal or a betel leaf.We were amazed by his words.After getting his every words,being astonished, we returntowards the nearby hotels for supper.There,locals told us that this lake hadn’t been much explored all over.but due to the accessibility of transportation, this lake had become picnic spot and source of frolic. But its not properly developed in advance form.for this, the local authority had plan to focus on making proper accommodation and various other infrastructure (roads,lodges)so that tourist can enjoy here as much as they wish for.In additional,they had been working on building footpath,railings and stairs around kupinde .The finance minister along with local authorities had planned to flourish its breathtaking beauty worldwide.
Yes,actually, kupinde is such a masterpiece of salyan.Still ,here are some inhabitants of salyan are unknown about this lake. While some didn’t arrived here because of poor infrastructure. BUT ,if its properly publicised and develop. Then ,everyone can easily access here.
After chitchating there for a while,we left our way from our lake.It was a short , sweet but memorable trip.
